Characteristics of malt

Burned Harvest Malt is made by roasting good quality barley grain. The roasting process is typical of roasted malt, with care being taken not to burn the grain. The temperature is greater than 200℃. 

Aromatic contribution

The taste of Harvest Malt is burnt - tart and bitter. Strong flavors – burnt and smoky.

Usage

Burned Harvest Malt is used for dark beers due to its strong color. Burned Harvest Malt will give a dry aroma and substantial color.

Production and packaging

Harvest Malt Burned is made at Viking Malt. Available packaging: in bulk, containers, in big-bags and 25-kilogram bags.

Storage and expiration date

Malt should be stored in a cool (˂20℃), dry (˂ 40 RH%) place without extraneous odors. Under these conditions, the shelf life of malt is at least 1 year. Malt must be kept away from hot surfaces and malt dust must not be inhaled.
